
Judith Andrea Curtis Brown
February 16, 1947-January 3, 2015
Judith Andrea Curtis Brown, 67, passed away peacefully at her home in Greencastle, IN to be with the Lord on January 3, 2015. She was born February 16, 1947 in Terre Haute to Robert and Leatrice Curtis. She graduated from Wiley High School in 1965, then Indiana State University, and later earned a Master’s Degree in Education.
Judi worked as an educator at the Rockville Correctional Facility until shortly after her cancer diagnosis in 2009. She had a passion for teaching and for helping others and did volunteer work for many years. She put her faith in Jesus and was a member of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church in Greencastle. Judi was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Dana Shields of Riley. Survivors include her husband, Paul Brown, her brother Gary Curtis of Greencastle, daughter Diana Miller, and grandchildren Morgan Mills, Draik Beauchamp, and Emma Miller.
No service is planned, but in her honor, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
